Cautionary Tale # 4

An “accessible” building means:

“We have automatic door openers to get into the building. We have an accessible bathroom on  the top floor.”

An “accessible” building does not mean:

“We have accessible classrooms.” So hang out in  the lobby, yo. It’s a great place  to get an education.

Apparently, if you are in a wheelchair, have a degenerative disease, or any other disability that makes opening doors difficult, well, we’ll help you get in the building, but can’t you ask for help or wait for someone to open the door to the classroom for you to get in/out? Also, need help with bathroom doors? Hahahaha. Hilarious.
