Multiple Choice: Pretending to be Disabled

so let’s say you’re a an administrator at a university, and want to know how to make your campus more accessible. Either that or pay lip service to disabled students.

Do you A) ask disabled students, faculty, and staff what their needs are, and really listen to them about problems and inaccessibility and what universal design would look like

OR

B) have a bunch of administrators and faculty pretend to be disabled so they “open their eyes and think about things different.”

If you chose Option B, then congratulations, you work at Clemson University!
